FAQ

Some of our prints are created with a white border as part of the design and some aren't. If the main website image shows a white border around the print, your print will come with the border.

All of our frames have acrylic fronts instead of glass. Acrylic is actually more expensive to manufacture than glass and is a lot safer for us to transport.

We prefer to experiment with shades and textures when designing our artwork and find foil limits our ability to do this. As we use a lot of gold in our design, to add foil to our prints would also make them considerably more costly.

All of our products are 100% cruelty free and vegan friendly.

Yes we do! All shipping rates are calculated at checkout.

All of our prints are professionally printed using industry leading state of the art printers, onto premium matte stock for optimum colour quality and detail. We choose to use thicker than industry average paper weights (300gsm and 200gsm) to ensure no creasing and rippling when hanging your artwork.

We prefer not to frame your prints before dispatching your order as items are more prone to damages in transit if removed from their protective packaging.

We do our best to ensure all items will arrive with you safely and in perfect condition however in the unlikely event that your item does arrive damaged in anyway please email us at customer.services@thehouseoutfit.com with your order number and photos of the damages and we will get back to you asap.

When you’re ordering a print for your picture mount, you should choose a print that matches the mount opening, not the overall frame size. You can do this by measuring the opening of your mount and forgetting about the actual size of the frame altogether until you’re ready to hang your piece.

If you have ordered a piece of artwork that is too big for your mount opening and it is partially covered by the mount, there are a few things you can do. You can try to reposition the print behind the mount to centre the artwork, however, you’re still going to have part of your print covered by the mount. You could try to cut the mount opening to the size of the print, but only if you’re comfortable doing so and remember to measure twice and cut once to minimise mistakes. Or, our best recommendation is to buy a larger mount that better suits the print size. That way, you can ensure your print is fully displayed in a mount that properly fits!

We don't frame artwork before we ship it, as items are more prone to damage if they're removed from their protective packaging. In saying that, though, there is an option to add a frame to your print at checkout so that you can ensure the correct size and make sure your print is ready to frame and hang as soon as it arrives at your door!

If you're shopping for wall art or canvas wall art, knowing how to best hang your pieces can feel like half the struggle. Our canvases and our frames come with secure hanging fixtures attached so that you can make installation easy. We recommend screws, nails or wall anchors for larger, heavier pieces and command strips for smaller artwork that isn't quite as heavy. For more tips and tricks, you can check out our guide to displaying wall art without using nails, which is particularly helpful if you're a renter!

When you order one of our gallery wall sets from The House Outfit, you can expect a set of prints and frames that are cohesive and ready to hang. Whether you’re looking for sets that include two, three, four, five or six prints, we have the perfect fit for you. Whether you’re looking for a gallery wall set that includes prints of all the same size, or you’re after something that is a bit less matchy-matchy but still cohesive, we have the perfect gallery wall set to suit your style. Choose the print set that will best fit your wall and your frame colour, and you’re good to go!

The size print you need for your frame depends on the size frame you’re looking to fill. If you have an A3 frame, an A3 print (or an A4 print with a mount) is going to be the best fit. To make sure your print is going to properly fit your frame, it’s important that you measure both your frame and the potential print to make sure it fits properly.
